Once a client decides to preserve their stem cells with AssureImmune they contact our client services support staff either online or by phone to get information about the enrollment process. We provide a welcome package that contains detailed information on the blood collection options, and the cell separation, preservation and storage process. We include a comprehensive medical history questionnaire to gather relevant personal and family medical information to ensure that you will qualify to have your stem cells harvested. |

The Assure Collection Process™ - Overview
AssureImmune offers its clients a natural and convenient process for the collection and preservation of adult stem cells. After a client enrolls, clients are sent a sterile collection kit with a unique bar code. As a special premier service, we offer a private collection process service where a licensed phlebotomist will arrange to come and collect blood in the privacy of your home or office.
The phlebotomist draws the peripheral blood in the familiar way that is used for routine blood tests. The blood collection process takes approximately 5 to 8 minutes depending on their body weight. For newborns, blood is collected from the umbilical cord at the time of delivery – a process your obstetricians are familiar with. Blood is shipped immediately by specialized medical couriers to AssureImmune’s state-of-the-art facility for processing, testing and storage. At the time blood is collected separate samples are sent to an accredited laboratory for extensive testing to assure the absence of infective pathogens and establish a baseline for future evaluation. |

Collection
Our unique system begins with the Collection Process™. Once our client enrolls, they will receive a Welcome Package and then a sterile Cell Collection Kit with a unique bar code. We arrange for a licensed phlebotomist to contact the client to schedule an appointment for blood collection in the privacy of their home or office. The blood collection process takes approximately 5 to 8 minutes depending on the body weight. For newborns, blood is collected from the umbilical cord at the time of delivery – a process obstetricians are familiar with.

Processing
After the blood is collected, it is then sent immediately by specialized medical couriers to AssureImmune’s state-of-the-art lab facility for processing where one of our highly trained laboratory technicians will initiate our separation process. During this phase, our staff initiates our highly sophisticated equipment to begin separating and harvesting the optimal amount of quality cells from our client’s blood within the collection kit.

Safe Storage
Once the cells are collected and separated, they are then stored in one of our cryopreservation systems. As an additional security incentive and for redundancy, AssureImmune has its storage facilities in various undisclosed locations around the world. At this phase, a client is then issued a “Cell Account” with AssureImmune. With the recently deposited stem cells, our clients are then sent a personalized Certificate of Ownership verifying the total number of nucleated cells banked. The system and process is designed to store a client’s stem cells in at least two different locations to prevent complete loss if a storage site were to be destroyed by a natural calamity or by terrorist action which is beyond normal control.

DNA Security
At the time of blood processing samples of plasma and blood are retained for DNA testing to ensure sample authenticity. In addition we also have samples of blood tested at an accredited testing laboratory for infectious diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis B and C, West Nile virus, etc… When a client needs to use their stem cells and withdraws a sample, a series of tests including DNA testing will be performed in order to validate the viability of the cells and identify the client definitively.

Retrieval
Our last step is the Retrieval Process. In this process our client’s cells are withdrawn and sent in the most expeditious manner to their predetermined physician or hospital for immediate use. After the completion of the retrieval the client will then be sent another cell account report detailing the amount and quality left over in their “Cell” account.
