For individuals interested in preserving their adult stem cells, our banking service begins the process by sending you a bar coded, sterile collection kit for medical professionals to use to collect your blood. At the time of collection, blood samples are automatically sent to the laboratory for testing. For newborns, we provide collection kits for your doctor to harvest the umbilical cord blood at the time of delivery. Blood is then shipped immediately by specialized medical couriers to AssureImmune's state of the art facility for processing, testing, cell counting and storage. Your laboratory test results are logged into the corporate database so they can be tracked through processing, preservation and storage. Our banking service then provides you with a final count of your stem cells. Once stored, we provide you with a cell account number and a Certificate of Ownership. Your account record will indicate you as the owner and specify your guardianship and transfer of ownership preferences. For children, parents are considered guardians of their children's stem cells. Clients and guardians can name successive guardians or establish a trust to secure the rights of the child or family members over time. Finally, we retain special samples for DNA testing at the time of retrieval to ensure authentication of your cells.

Our sophisticated computer system and stem cell monitoring procedures ensure that withdrawals from our cord blood and stem cells storage facility are accurately identified and will only be made according to your wishes.
Over time you and your children may make additional donations to our banking service to increase the number of stem cells in storage. Although there are methods to make your stem cells divide and multiply, there is no assurance that you are not forcing a measure of differentiation. By banking additional samples you assure that the stored cells represent your natural stem cell population in their most undifferentiated state.
As additional family member donate - sisters, brothers, patents, grandchildren - our database will keep track of family relationships. If family members provide authorization to share their information, we will provide quarterly family tree reports so that matching samples can be identified quickly.
